Potter Park Zoo celebrated its centennial in 2020 with the welcoming of its newest family member, Jaali the baby rhino. He is the first black rhino to be born at Potter Park Zoo, which is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and participates in the AZA's Species Survival Plan. Billboards and messaging went up throughout the Greater Lansing area to celebrate the accomplishments.
